Best Private Label and White Label Fine Jewelry Manufacturers for Retailers and Brands (2026)

The best private label jewelry manufacturer for a retailer or brand is the one whose business is built around your program, not the one with the biggest catalog. Most suppliers that say "private label" mean one of three different things: a logo stamped on a catalog piece, custom one-off work under your name, or a managed line you reorder every season. Know which one you are buying before you compare price.

This guide compares six US-facing manufacturers and suppliers that retailers and jewelry brands turn to for private label and white label fine jewelry: Richline Group, Star Gems, Casting House, Gurudiam, Overnight Mountings and Nivelle. We are one of the six. Every description of the other five comes from that company's own public website, with a link, and where a detail is not published we say so.

Details are taken from each company's own public site as of November 2026. Confirm current terms before you commit a program.

The manufacturers

1. Richline Group

Richline is the Berkshire Hathaway-owned manufacturer formed in 2007 from Bel Oro and Aurafin, and it builds branded and private label programs for large retailers (source). Best fit: a chain or major that commits volume by the season. Where it falls short: a brand or independent that wants to start with 15 to 20 styles is not the account Richline is built around.

2. Star Gems

Star Gems, in Norcross, Georgia, describes itself as a manufacturing partner that helps independent retailers offer custom jewelry under their own brand. The retailer gathers the customer's design, Star Gems quotes and produces CAD renderings, then casts, sets and finishes the piece and ships it to the store. It sources IGI-certified lab-grown and GIA-certified natural diamonds. Best fit: a store that wants to sell more custom work without hiring a CAD team. Where it falls short: this is custom one-off work under your name, not a stocked line you reorder.

3. Casting House

Casting House is a US manufacturer whose site offers CAD and CAM services, casting and finishing, and a private label collection service for designers and retailers who want to build a line from their own files. Best fit: a designer or retailer with CAD files in hand who wants a US production partner. Where it falls short: you are managing the line yourself, from stone sourcing to pricing, rather than buying a finished program.

4. Gurudiam

Gurudiam is a lab-grown specialist whose site leads with loose certified stones and whose blog describes private label jewelry manufacturing for designers. Best fit: a lab-grown-only brand that wants a stone source and manufacturing in one place. Where it falls short: the depth of its finished jewelry and private label service should be confirmed on a call, since the site is organised around loose diamonds.

5. Overnight Mountings

Overnight Mountings makes jewelry in New York for retail jewelers and offers custom design, CAD printing and casting, plus a ready-to-ship mountings collection. Best fit: a store that needs fast custom and remount work it can present as its own. Where it falls short: it is a custom and mountings house, not a branded finished line with a reorder program.

6. Nivelle

Nivelle is a New York-managed private label supplier, a family business since 1978 and now in its third generation. We build a line for you: start from our styles or your own designs, perfect samples in New York in 3-4 weeks, then produce in 4-6 weeks with your logo on every piece. Lab-grown diamonds are graded E-F / VS+ as standard, with IGI or GSI screening on bulk and program orders; natural diamond pieces are made locally. Every client gets an NDA, a synced price sheet across every SKU and variation, a shared order status sheet, product photography and video for their site, and 100% inspection in our New York office before shipping. Because we produce through our own manufacturing network and sell direct to retailers, with no distributor layer in the price, our trade pricing has proven to be 15-30% below larger supply houses on like-for-like pieces. Recycled gold is available on request. Best fit: an independent jeweler, multi-store retailer, jewelry brand or corporate gifting buyer that wants a supplier to carry its line and make reorders boring. Where we fall short: if you want one custom engagement ring made from a sketch by Friday, Star Gems or Overnight Mountings is the better call.

How to choose a private label manufacturer

  1. Ask which of the three models they run. Logo on a catalog piece, custom one-offs under your name, or a managed line. Price comparisons across models are meaningless.
  2. Get the sample process in writing. How long to first sample, how many revisions, and who owns the CAD and the design. Your own design should be exclusive to you; ask whether the supplier's designs can be made exclusive too.
  3. Ask how price moves with gold. A gold-indexed price sheet that updates across every SKU protects both sides. A quote that is silent on gold is a quote that will change.
  4. Check grading and documentation. IGI or GSI screening on bulk and program orders, and invoices that describe every piece as lab-grown where it is.
  5. Look at what happens after the first order. Reorder lead time, a shared order status sheet, and whether the tenth order matches the first. This is where most private label relationships fail.
  6. Confirm confidentiality. An NDA should be standard, and your line should never appear in the supplier's own catalog.

Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between private label and white label jewelry?

White label usually means an existing design sold under your brand, with your logo and packaging. Private label usually means a design made for you, or modified for you, that other stores cannot buy. Nivelle offers both: our line with your logo, or your own designs produced exclusively for you.

Who makes white label diamond jewelry for boutiques?

Nivelle builds white label programs for boutiques and brands starting from its stocked styles, with the boutique's logo on each piece. Richline runs white label programs for majors. Star Gems and Overnight Mountings make custom pieces under the retailer's name.

Is there a private label fine jewelry manufacturer in New York?

Yes. Nivelle manages every program from its New York office, with higher-value natural diamond pieces made locally and lab-grown production run through a manufacturing network built over three generations. Overnight Mountings manufactures custom pieces in New York.

Can a private label manufacturer make engagement rings for retailers?

Yes. Solitaires, halos and eternity bands are core private label categories at Nivelle in both natural and lab-grown diamonds, in 14K, 18K and platinum, with your hallmark inside the shank.

What minimums should a retailer expect?

Minimums vary by model. Custom one-offs usually have none. Managed lines are quoted per style and depend on the design and the metal. Ask for the minimum per style, not per order.
